“Kenny Gray: Selected Photographs, 1995-2015” Exhibit to CSU Archives

In September, I delivered forty-six prints (and replacements of four prints that were sold) from my exhibit, Kenny Gray: Selected Photographs, 1995-2015, to the Columbus State University Archives, along with associated writing and other documents. The archives will eventually acquire all my prints, negatives, digital files, writing, other documents and artifacts. Here’s an announcement by David Owing, University Archivist, from the Fall CSU Libraries newsletter:

Digital Photography in the Archives

Acclaimed photographer Kenny Gray is depositing his collection of prints, negatives, digital files, writing and documentation, accumulated over a forty-year career, to the CSU Archives. The first batch, fifty prints that were exhibited last year as Kenny Gray: Selected Photographs, 1995-2015 at the CSU Rankin Arts Photography Center, arrived in September. Future batches will include photographs documenting the south side of Columbus in the 1970s, as well as his internationally recognized Brownie Hawkeye photographs from the 1980’s. Gray, who currently serves as director of CSU’s Rankin Arts Photography Center, has won awards in national and international exhibitions and his work is held in private and public collections across America, including the Lamar Dodd Art Center in LaGrange, Georgia and The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia in Atlanta. – David Owings, Archivist
